I could hardly believe how frosty it was this morning! As we never had a garden in our other house we didn't see frost when it happened, which wasn't often anyway. Here, the front lawn was all white!! I had to go out and touch it to make sure!!
It soon warmed up though. We didn't go out early as Jon was watching Chelsea and was very happy with the result.
Heather called and we had a long chat trying to fix up this software but still can't get it connected so she will have to speak to someone at work and see what is wrong.
We took Tot out later and had a walk around the block and the sun is so warm but in the shade it is cold.
We went for a coffee at the garden centre and were able to sit outside in a sheltered spot.
We went to pick up my contact lens and I asked them to check when my last lot were delivered as I seem to be very short of spare ones. They say they will check the records and get back to me. I really should put it on the calendar when I get them.
We then went to buy a metal bucket for the ashes from the fire (we had to leave the old one at our old house) as they are about four inches deep at the moment!! We also had a look around the shops for some tops for Jon which he will need over in the cold Waikato region when he is there for his treatment.
We got back and had lunch and read the papers and Jon caught up with paperwork and bills.
I took Tot out as Jon seems to be coming down with a cold but my runny nose must have been too much pepper while cooking the dinner last night.
I cooked dinner and Jon made sure he moved his car to a more sheltered part of the garden, under the trees, just in case we have another frost. We watched some TV and then it was bed.
I really miss having central heating!!! The fire is lovely but then you have to go upstairs!!!
WEATHER
A cold frosty start but clear blue sky 17 degrees
