Another frosty day!

I really could have stayed in bed this morning as it was so cold outside. Jon was glad he parked at the side of the house under the trees.

We had breakfast and Jon went to work though he has a bad cold. I am glad it is this week and so won't affect the start of his treatment next week.

It was so cold I re kindled the fire which was still glowing from last night and as I was going to be at home all day I wanted to be warm.

After hanging out the washing I got stuck in to doing my housework instead of spending too much time on the Internet and it was surprising how much I got done! I took Tot out for a long walk and it was lovely in the sun but cold in the shade.

I even managed to re pot my mint plant and dye my hair and all before lunch!

We are going to see a hypnotist show on 1 June and so I need to take the money over to one of my Lions friends for the tickets so I spoke to her to arrange that.

Still no mouse though lots of droppings. When I got the vacuum cleaner out Tot went mad in the cupboard under the stairs where I store it. The only other things in there are my shopping bags and when I moved them there were lots of droppings. I think there must be more than one mouse as I have found droppings in the pantry, in the base units in the kitchen and now under the stairs. I think we have given them a chance and now we are going to have to bring in the big boys - real traps - sorry guys but I have had enough now. Hopefully, we can get rid of them before Jon goes away as I really don't fancy having to pick them up and get rid of them myself.

I left the house to meet Jon up at the hospital to meet Lorraine, the chemo nurse to discuss the tablets. She is very nice and comes from Yorkshire. She has been here for 20 years but still has a very strong accent. Jon was feeling really rough and makes more fuss about his cold than he does about the cancer!

We just went through all the things he needs to know about the medication and how to take it and the side effects and that he must contact her if he has any problems no matter how small. It is very reassuring to know they are just at the end of a phone line should be need them at weekends. Now we just need a start date!

Jon went to buy a wall panel heater to put in the office downstairs as it is cold down there and if he is going to work from home he will need some heat.

We had a cup of tea and I did some ironing before taking Tot out again and then preparing dinner.

We watched some TV and then went to bed.
