We both managed to get up on time today.
Jon left for work and after I had breakfast I took Tot out. One thing really annoys me about Kiwis and their dogs, so many of them walk them along the street off the lead and this is what happened this morning. I was coming round the corner with Tot on the lead and a lady was walking her black lab off the lead. She saw us and called her dog who totally ignored her and came over to sniff at Tot. The woman saidn'Gently' but the dog obviously doesn't understand and in a second had jumped on top of Totty. I was trying to get her away and the woman was calling her dog but it chose to ignore her. She finally got it away and then just walked off. I said in a loud voice 'An apology would not have gone amiss' but nothing. I took Tot home and she was fine and then I left for work. As I came out of the drive the woman was walking her other dog down to the park and it also was off the lead. Unbelievable!! There must be a problem if she can't walk them both together and she must get a lot of exercise. She only lives down the road so it is not as if I can avoid her so I will just have to choose my walking time carefully.
I got to the shop just about on time and it was very quiet. We put some new stock out and then I went to tidy the children's clothes as I enjoy that. I had my coffee at eleven and then back to more sorting and the morning passed very quickly.
On my way home I went to the supermarket, the post office and filled my car so by the time I got back I was very hungry and more than ready for lunch.
I took Tot out again and as it is fish and chip night I had no dinner to prepare.
Totty is now going mad sniffing at every cupboard and as soon as we open one to get something out she is in and sniffing. I said to Jon it seems like we are infested with mice not just one.
Jon brought more traps home tonight of the inhumane kind and some 'irresistable' liquid to go in them. I can't bring myself to use them just yet so we will try the 'irresistable' bait in the humane traps first and see what happens.
Fish and chips was particularly good tonight and I had my first glass of wine of the week and it was very good.
We watched some TV and enjoyed the lovely fire and now it is bed time.
WEATHER
