A packed day

We all had a good night and a bit of a lie in this morning but not that late 8.00!!

I cooked breakfast for us all and it was so hot sitting out on the deck but very nice.

I managed to get ANOTHER four loads of washing out on the line - where does it all come from???

We took Malcolm out to one of the local garden centres and we had coffee. When we got back we all went out on the kayak and tried to put the memories of yesterday behind us - still not heard how the other man is. It was so nice out on the water and I am sure if you take the proper precautions you will be OK sadly the men yesterday didn't and paid for it big time.

We then came in and had lunch before going out to Karangahake Gorge. It was so nice out there with the sun shining and walking along the river and then up to the 'windows' track using our torch and looking down on the river which was very full.

We then went to Paeroa to have a photo session at the big L & P bottle before heading back to Waihi to look at the gold mine. After a very busy time we went back to the house for a cup of tea - phew!

Jon cooked a nice piece of lamb on the bbq and we had a lovely dinner on the deck as the weather seems to have finally taken a turn for the better and it was warm and calm.

Heather helped me download some audio books onto my iPod which will be nice and I had another lesson but I am so slow and she gets cross but I will get there in the end.

It was so funny to watch Jon and Malcolm sitting on the deck, and they still are as I write this, listening to music on the iPad. Years ago they had to find the record, put it on and then change it etc now at the touch of a button and sitting outside they can have what they want - amazing and very funny to listen to the pair of old codgers.

Malcolm's last day tomorrow and I have to pack and leave the house tidy and food for Jon till Sunday when Heather and I get back Arghhhhhh - too much to do!!
WEATHER
Some cloud and sunny 25 degrees
