I didn't get up this morning till 9.20!!! I can't remember the last time I slept till that time!!

I had my shower and got dressed and we were just about to go out for a coffee and Kirsty rang so I spent a long time chatting to her.

Jon and I went out for a very late coffee just to the local garden centre.

We had nothing planned for this weekend and it was nice to just do as we wanted and think about our trip to the South Island next week.

I booked Totty into kennels for our next trip and our trip to UK hopefully, she will be OK.

It seems like every day since Jon's 'redundancy' we get another kick. Today, he got a new fuel card from the company to 'use prudently'. It arrived with a self addressed envelope to send his credit card back. Do they think so badly of him that they don't trust him with his company credit card. I have no idea what they think he will buy on it.

On the plus side he had a phone call from a man down at the port who supplies the labour to Genera. He told Jon he was so upset about what is happening and can't get through to anyone who 'can make decisions' in the company. He is so fed up he says he is going to give it all up and start another business. He told Jon they have made a big mistake which is the general feeling we get. I hope we are around to find out how the 'poision dwarf'' copes with it all!!

I made lunch for Jon but I wasn't hungry.

I decided that as we have lived here for nearly four months it was time I gave the tops of the kitchen cupboards a dust. Boy, was I in for a surprise, I don't think they have EVER been cleaned. I thought the tops were brown and started to wipe them and realised they were actually white but so dirty! I needed a knife to scrape it off. I finished on and then decided it was silly to clean other peoples dirt and it was taking me ages so I took photos of it and if, when we leave, anything is said I will have the proof it is not my dirt. That said it is now annoying me that it is so dirty and I think I am going to have to clean them one by one. I wish I had never got the ladder to have a look!!

I spent part of the afternoon putting photos on FB but still have lots more to do.

I cooked some nice pork loin for dinner tonight with Baileys cheesecake to follow.

It was lovely to be able to watch a harmless TV programme tonight with Ant & Dec Live even though it was a couple of months old!!

It feels really cold tonight and we have both got our winter slippers out. The clocks change tonight, too
