I was up bright and early to get ready for Red Cross and was really looking forward to seeing Les and Sharon again.
I left Jon having breakfast and I went to the shop.
We had a quick catch up chat and then got stuck in and we were really busy for the rest of the morning. Now that we have the winter stock in and it is school holidays made all the difference.
We stopped for a coffee at 11.00 and they enjoyed the Anzac biscuits I took in.
The morning went over very fast and before I knew it the afternoon girls were in and it was time to go.
I left the shop and went down to the port to buy some fish for dinner tonight. There is a very nice fish and chip shop there and the shop also sells fresh fish which comes in direct from the ships so is very good.
I then went to the supermarket and did my shopping, bulk buying dog food for Totty when she goes to kennels again.
I got home and had my lunch. Jon was out having his hair cut and he also went for lunch.
I watched a couple of episodes of Neighbours while my feet recovered and then got stuck in to my ironing for the rest of the afternoon while I watched more Neighbours which is quite sad at the moment.
Sharon called to invite Jon and I over for dinner tomorrow. She said she always does a roast and has her mum up, too (she lives in the flat under the house). So I said we would love to come but I can't eat too much as I put some weight on while we were away and need to get rid of it by next Saturday before we leave!! She told us to get there for 5.30 and Jon said that is more like tea time!!
Sharon and Des are into making wine and she told me they have now started to make liqueurs so I am not sure what to expect but it will be fun as it always is with them. There were going to make vodka, too but not sure if they have done that yet - it isn't illegal here!!
Jon took Totty for a walk in the evening and then I made dinner, the fish was very nice.
It would have been my mum and dad's wedding anniversary today about 65 years I think.
We then watched some TV and I made a beanie for Sharon. She is very blonde and said she wanted a neutral colour but I think this might be too light. Well, she can try it and see what she thinks. It is quite nice and I put some little flowers on it for her as she asked!! Lol
Just about got my blog done before midnight!
WEATHER
