We had a really rough night last night both weather wise and Bertie wise. We had howling gales and wind and the rain makes a lot of noise on the roof.
Jon was up through the night again due to Bertie, I really wish he would settle down again.
I felt quite low this morning and didn't know why, the weather I think. It was miserable and windy and wet and I really had to push myself to get on and do my washing. I was glad I did as the sun came out and due to the strong wind I got it all dry.
I used my new steam mop but I can't say I am impressed and think I will stick to mop and bucket as it has left streak marks all over the floor.
I took Tot out, if you can call it out 25 yards down the road but she is happy with that.
I had my Pilates class at 1.45 which was very good and then I popped to the supermarket to get some hazelnuts and some strawberries and cream for my Pavlova competition tomorrow. I am doing an 'alternative' as I would not like to compete against the Kiwis to make a Pavlova.
It got really hot this afternoon but we are still having strong winds and I just wish they would go as I hate the wind but the weatherman said we got up to 26 this afternoon, he also said we might have more rain tomorrow!!
I got back and cooked my Pavlova which has crushed hazelnuts in and tomorrow morning I will add the cream and strawberries and I need to take it to the shop for judging before I go to my keep fit class so an early start for me. I am sure I won't win anything but it is nice to support the shop and have a go.
I did my ironing this afternoon and changed the duvet to summer one as it is a bit warm at night now.
Jon came home early as he was tired and we had a cup of tea and then he had a nap.
We had dinner and watched some TV.
WEATHER
Horrible start to the day with wind and rain then 26 degrees to end it.
