Another night of heavy rain and very grey this morning.
We had breakfast and then had a long video call to Jane and Jason before going out to the Mount to have a look around the shops but we didn't buy anything.
We popped into the bar my hairdresser's husband owns and had some lunch. The food was good but the service was slow as only one waiter but still very nice.
We then went to see if we could buy a turkey as Heather would like a Christmas dinner. Why she didn't tell me before I don't know. We didn't find a turkey and will have one more go tomorrow and if not she will have to make do with a 'big chicken'!!!
We went to Bayfair shopping centre and in four years I have never seen it so busy with people parking in the streets near the centre!!! We bought a few things one of which is a train that fits on the trunk of the Christmas tree and Jon and Heather thought was really nice and now that it is in place it is sort of cute - video to follow on FB.
We came home and it was not such good weather here as on the coast some 15km away. We drove to Welcome Bay as Heather wanted to see the old house. The garage is now more or less finished but no door yet and I have to say it does not look that nice. I don't know why he has put a different colour roof on unless he intends to pain the original one to make them both the same???
We got back and had afternoon tea and watched some TV and I could have happily had a nap but realised I had no beans and Heather wanted beans with her ham and chips tonight so we went over to Fraser Cove to buy some which was good as it woke me up.
When I got back Jon had set up the train on the tree and it looked good.
I cooked dinner and we all ate together but I am feeling the effects of all this food now and a bit of toast sound like a good idea for tomorrow's breakfast!!
I gave Heather a pedicure and painted her toenails this evening and now I am just about to collapse and go to bed and read a little more about Christian Grey!!! Maybe I could get to enjoy this book!!!
