After a little lie in this morning we were up to a lovely sunny day. Could this be the start of some settled weather??
We went into Tauranga and sat in Red Square and had a coffee. It was surprisingly quiet in the city considering it is Christmas next week!
We went to the library and I read a magazine while Jon chose his books.
We then went to the supermarket and bought lots of drinks, non alcoholic, that we might need for our bbq in Jan.
By the time we got back it was lunchtime and I made Jon a sandwich and I had some fruit.
The tablets I got to dry up my cold seem to be working as it is not so bad today thank goodness.
As it was so hot, 26 degrees in the shade on our deck, I decided to have an hour in the sun. I could only manage 40 minutes as it is so hot here and unlike the beach no sea breeze.
Jon worked in the garage sorting the last of the boxes and we are now officially 'unpacked'.
I sat inside and tried to decide what to cook for Christmas day and what to take on our Christmas day picnic, so much to choose from but trying to cater for Jon AND Heather is not easy.
We had a cup of tea and a mince pie and watched the news and the terrible shootings in USA. How many more need to die before they change their gun laws??
I decided to bath Tot and I have never seen so much hair come off her. She does look very nice now.
I cooked some chicken breasts with bacon for dinner and we had them with salad.
Jon had done too much today so I tidied up after dinner and he sat down. He is not good at pacing himself!!
Time for bed now.
WEATHER
Sunny 24 degrees
