A really enjoyable bank holiday

When we got up this morning we were in no rush to go out as we thought everything would be closed as it usually is on Anzac Day.

Jon enjoyed watching the football 'live' a rare thing and especially on a Wednesday and Chelsea won!!

I made us a cooked breakfast and then we took Tot out for a walk and managed to go on the long one. We got back to the house and the landlord of the house next door was painting the fence and introduced himself to us and we had a chat, he seems to be a very nice man and not as old as my neighbour made him out to be or maybe I just misunderstood her.

We then went down to The Mount in the hope of finding a cafe open. I noticed the Good Food Shop had cars in the car park so we went round and it was open. We had a lovely lemon and blueberry muffin and some really good coffee.

We then carried on to the Mount Main Beach to the cenotaph as I wanted to see the wreaths that had been placed at the dawn service. They were really lovely and smelt very nice. We walked along the front and decided to walk around the Mount which was lovely as it was so sunny and warm. We met Ross, Sandra and their son Branson and had a chat. We got back at about 1.00 and decided to have lunch at one of the bars along the front.

I had a mini salmon and pesto quiche with salad which was lovely and Jon had a Turkish chicken sandwich with a side of fries and we had a beer. Sat in the sun was really warm and just like a summer's day.

When we left we popped into the shop next door and bought ice cream for pudding. I had Snickers in a cup and Jon went for his favourite - vanilla in a cone. We ate them on the walk back to the car. All in all it was a very pleasant and unplanned morning.

We got back and Jon went into the garden and I spent some time checking up on YouTube how to paint your nails with Shellac  as mine has not been that successful and I had to replace two today.

I found out that the blue plastic which is inside the UV light box should be removed - it says nothing about that or in fact any instructions at all. I think if these companies are going to sell to the public and not exclusively to beauticians then they should give instructions. I now realise this is the reason my nails have not 'cured' as they should have and some of the polish has come off. I will need to have another go when I get time.

I am feeling really edgy about tomorrow and did not feel like eating much dinner tonight. I really hope it goes well and we can get the treatment started ASAP. So glad we have an early appointment.

WEATHER
Sunny 20 degrees but felt much warmer.
