I was very late to bed last night as I had a long chat with my friend in the UK and so I didn't wake as early as I have been doing. Jon got up to watch the F1 qualifying rounds which TVNZ didn't screen live and so it was not on till midnight.
We had intended to go out for breakfast but decided to stay in and use some of the lovely free range eggs I bought yesterday and quite honestly, you can't get a better view than we have from our deck and it was a lovely sunny morning so it was scrambled eggs at Casa Trevenna!
We took Tot out and then read the papers before heading down to Sulphur Point and a cafe there that is part of a complex of apartments and a huge boat storage warehouse where people, who can afford to, store their boats over winter and it is all very state of the art. We sat in the lovely sunshine and enjoyed a really good coffee. We then had a little walk and watched the 'boaties' setting of on their day trips. I think there are probably more bots in NZ than cars!
We got back and just spent the rest of the day lazing around and reading or watching TV. There was a lot going on in the park today, I have never seen so many kayaks and at one stage people were actually queueing to use the boat ramp with jet skis, dinghies and various other vessels.
I made a Victoria sponge this morning and we had afternoon tea which was very nice.
Jon has been a bit brighter today and has found flights for Jane and Heather and Kirsty and James will come over just as they leave - they will pass each other in the sky. It will be lovely to see them all.
We had dinner while watching the Grand Prix, the last one we can watch at a sensible time!
Heather called and we had a chat but the line was very bad. I need to go to bed early as I am so tired, lots catching up with me!
WEATHER
Sunny and 21 degrees
