A visit from the Sweep!

Totty didn't get up once last night I just don't understand her.

Jon left early as he has a presentation to give today and still had a bit to do on it.

The chimney sweep came at 8.20 and I was surprised at how clean he was - no soot. Most of the work was carried out on the roof and then a bit of cleaning in the fire itself and 25 minutes and he was finished.

I then took Totty out before going down to the doctors to have my mole removed. I was pleasantly surprised to see Lauren as the nurse. She is one of the ladies I met at the neighbourhood bbq in March and lives just down the road so we had a nice catch up while waiting for the doctor.

The doctor was as funny as he was the other day when I saw him and made lots of jokes and chatted all the way through the procedure. He removed the mole and put two stitches in and I need to go back to have them removed next Friday when he should also have the results and it didn't hurt a bit well, apart from the injection to freeze it.

I then went to have a coffee at Fraser Cove. The bakers where I have coffee had some Cornish pasties so I bought two for lunch. She kept them in the oven till I had done my shopping so that they would still be warm for lunch.

I did my supermarket shop and then picked up the pasties and went home, they smelt very nice. After putting the shopping away I had to wait till Jon came home and the smell of the pasties was so good. Unfortunately, they didn't taste as good as they smelt but were OK.

Alison came over for a cup of tea but Bronwyn was out when I called. We had a nice chat and then I took Totty out and made it back just before the rain started.

Had some very nice fish for dinner - gurnard, I think this is my favorite fish over here.

WEATHER

Cloudy this morning and a bit colder. Rain late in the afternoon.
