Sunday Whangarei

We were able to have our breakfast on the little deck this morning which was nice.
Once packed up, again, we set off for a tour of Doubtless Bay and the beaches of Taipa, Cable Bay and Coopers Beach all lovely little spots

We then carried on and took the tourist loop road to Tauranga Bay which was really beautiful but not sure how these people manage to survive in these little towns with no shops at all and no places to eat so another late lunch.
Finally, back on the main road, we found a place for lunch but it was not so good.

We carried on and did another tourist loop and went out to Matapouri and the lovely town of Tutukaka which has a lovely marina and some beautiful boats worth a lot of money I should think. We took a walk around the marina and hoped to buy an ice cream but once again nothing at all, they really are missing a trick or two at these seaside places.

I was by now starting to get some low back pain and I think it was due to getting in and out of the car all the time taking photos.

We stopped at  a little place and found a shop open for an ice cream. The weather came over cloudy and we had a few showers.

By the time we arrived in Whangarei I could hardly walk my back was so painful.

We found the hotel and our room was very nice with a lounge as well as the bedroom. I tried to do some Pilates exercises to ease my back but it didn't help.

A colleague rang Jon to meet on Tuesday but not sure what he wants.

I had a shower and my back was really painful and I could really do without this, exercises didn't help.

I just about managed to walk down the stairs for dinner which was very nice but the pudding not so nice bu looked very pretty.

Back to room for coffee and bed and hopefully a better back tomorrow.

WEATHER
Overnight rain but still very warm some showers 23 degrees
