A bit of a nip in the air this morning but that was only on one side of the house but the front of the house was sunny and warm.
I was up first today as I had to go to work and Jon had a lie in. He is sleeping so much better since he finished work as he has no worries or pressure about it all.
I left for work and Jon said he was going to sort out the hotels and change some of the dates for our Easter trip.
The Red Cross was quiet, everyone is waiting for the sale next week and then the winter stock to come in. We put out what we had but the rails are looking empty. The second part of the morning went over slowly as we didn't have much to do.
I left just after 1.00 and went to do my supermarket shop and I got home about 2.30 and had my lunch.
I had sent a sympathy card to my friend's sister in UK, who lost her husband, and it was returned today as it had no stamp on it. I am so annoyed as I bought the stamps with the cards and the girl in the shop stuck them on for me but it must have come unstuck. I am really annoyed as the funeral was yesterday and now she won't get it for another week!!
Jon had had a good morning and walked up to the garden centre for a coffee and then went to the driving range to hit some golf balls and he said he did very well and no discomfort from his surgery. He then went for lunch to his usual Friday place. He had also hung out the washing and vacuumed the carpet!!
We spent some time looking at the map and planning our trip for next week and I did some Google checking for distances. I think we are just about there now. We will have to start thinking about our trip to the south island but want to get things sorted at work before we do that.
Jon went out for the fish and chips and I opened a bottle of fizzy and waited for him to come back.
After dinner we watched TV and I did my crochet and finished my ninth beanie - no stopping me now!!
