Sunday

We were very lazy this morning and we didn't wake till 9.00!!!! I can't remember the last time we both slept so late so our trip to Taupo was put off till next week as it was too late.

I was able to open my present from Jane and Heather this morning and it is very nice. Some lovely eco friendly smellies with no nasties in them. Kirsty's present is on the way she told me yesterday when I spoke to her.

After breakfast we took Totty out for her walk and she walked all the way down to the bottom and back. She was very hot and bothered by the time we got back as it was really too late to take her out as it was so hot.

I checked the mail box and the mail must have arrived late yesterday as there was a lovely card from Heather.

We went over to the Mount and on the way stopped by the office to take the two bags of garden rubbish to put in the skip they have in the yard. I need to order our own recycle bin.

We then went to the Mount and had a coffee and a Danish sitting in the sun. We then had a walk round the farmers' market and I bought a basket of micro green which I am told are very good for you. The man said they should continue to grow for about a month so hopefully we will get a lot off them.

On the way home we popped in to Nosh to buy some sausages and as always we end up buying more than we went in for.

When we got home I decided I needed to get some ironing done and ironed 12 shirts. I don't know when he wears all these shirts as I am sure it is not 12 days since I ironed a pile of shirts. I am doing my ironing in short blasts at the moment so it is 'little and often' and then my legs don't ache.

I made some lunch for Jon but I just had an apple and a banana as I was not really hungry.

I did think I would go and sit in the sun but it was just too hot out there so I stayed indoors and watched the cricket and did my crochet. I now have five hats made but all different sizes. I just can't find the perfect size.

We had a BBQ for dinner this evening and then watched the TV it is still really warm and it is nearly 10.30. The longer this lovely weather goes on the less I am looking forward to the end of it and it will be a shock when the rain finally starts. Practically the whole of the North Island is officially in a drought and the fields are so brown.

WEATHER
Sunny 27 degrees
