A cooler start to the day.

We had a few overnight showers which was good for the gardens and this morning it was cloudy for a time with a westerly wind which is a pain as it blows right into our house from that direction and I have doors banging and blinds blowing and crashing around so end up having to close windows/

Still it was nice to have the cooler start and I got stuck into my housework as soon as Jon left for work and I was more or less finished by 11.30 washing and everything even the floors all washed.

I took, well I tried to take Totty for a walk but we didn't get far - definitely an off day for her today.

I went out to my Pilate's class at 12.30 and really enjoyed it and I am getting to know the other ladies which helps.

I then went to buy some paper for the printer and to get a few bits from the supermarket.

I got back and had lunch and then went onto the Internet and finally found a pattern which I can follow for the crochet beanie hat so I got stuck in and by the time Jon came home from work I had the hat well on the way AND it looked like a hat!!

It was really hot sitting in the house this afternoon but I do love this house. Compared to the last house which was very dark inside this house is so light and airy and very quiet I could be in the middle of a field for all I hear.

Jon brought our forms home for out residency and he had been to have some photos taken so I will have to go and get some. I have no idea why we have to do this. We were given permanent residency two years ago but now we have to apply for 'permanent' permanent residency. I think it is just a way of making money!!

Jon is off to Auckland tomorrow till Thursday so he got his case ready and I folded some shirts. I have got out of the habit of him going away and now it is two weeks in a row.

I made the dinner and once we had eaten and cleared away we watched some TV. We have recorded Joanna Lumley in Greece and it is a lovely programme and really makes you want to visit Greece which hopefully we will do when we come back to live in UK.

Jon took his last chemo tablets tonight so that is it now. We go back to see the oncologist next week for hopefully, the last time.

I finally finished the beanie hat and although it is a bit big, more for a one year old, it is not too bad at all. I think I will have to use a smaller hook for the next ones as the lady had asked for six month old size but I am sure they have bigger orphans, too.

I was getting so frustrated and lost count of the times I pulled it all out so I hope it will be easier for the next one(s)!!

WEATHER
Cloudy then sunny 28 degrees.
