Wow what a day we had today and even now at 11.00 it is still very warm. On the news this evening it said that Tauranga has had its second sunniest February ever.
We both got up and ready and set off to work this morning and it was hot. I stopped by the house agent to pay our water bill and then went to the Red Cross.
We didn't really have such a good morning as Noleen, new temporary manager, was there and she seems to bring a bad atmosphere with her. Les and I spent two and a half hours at the back of the shop on the new desk putting stock out. I noticed that the way it has now been arranged with a sofa for people to sit on outside the changing rooms makes it all very cramped and the mums can't get in between the racks with the pushchairs. The silly thing is I have never seen anyone sit on the sofa.
As we are not allowed our coffee near the checkout now Les and I went across the road to have our break and it was nice to get out into the fresh air for ten minutes. It is such a shame as we were a happy team on a Friday and we did a lot of work, the till was never down and now it is not the same. Watch this space.
I was glad when it was time to leave and off I went to the supermarket. I couldn't get a few of the things I needed so had to go to another supermarket, too.
I then went to post some parcels at the Maungatapu post office and they cost a lot of money but still cheaper than excess baggage.
I then popped round to see Bronwyn and take her duty free and we had a chat. I then popped into take a book back to Alison and lend her Jon's radio headphones that he bought for the Grand Prix in Melbourne as Alison and Doug are going later this month.
It was then off to Welcome Bay to take a present to one of the ladies from Lions who is 80 today and I have known her from the start and like her very much and you would never believe she was 80.
Finally at nearly 4.00 I got home to have my lunch!!
It was far too hot to do anything so I just sat down with a big glass of water and watched TV.
Jon came home and we watched the news and then he went out for our fish and chips which was very good.
We watched some TV and then I made a Tabbouleh dish for the bbq we are going to tomorrow.
I was reading before going to bed and heard Totty barking at a hedgehog again so had to go and bring her in. I wish the hedgehog was more sensible and would stay away from our garden.
Off to bed now to try and sleep. Jon is having trouble with Bertie again tonight. Roll on Tuesday when he will be finished!!
WEATHER
Sunny 30 degrees
