No walk this morning with Totty as too wet and I ran out of time.

Very busy at the shop. The children's section was real mess. People put things back and mix boys and girls up and even some ladies stuff, it makes me cross.

Angela, the young Korean girl, comes in at 11.00. She is so sweet. She lives in a hostel and is here for a year to learn English. She comes to the shop to help as if she is at the hostel she is with other Korean students and so does not speak English. I spend time with her explaining things and correcting her English which she likes as she is so keen to learn. She is looking for a teacher to help her and I think I might suggest we have an hour a week together and see how we get on. She says if she learns to speak English well she has a better chance of getting a good job. She said she would like to meet Heather when she comes over.

I was very good and didn't buy anything today mainly as I was too busy to look.

Got back just in time to get lunch for Jon and I.


I made a cake but it overflowed the cake tin and made a bit of a mess in the oven!

Took Totty out and met Kim, my neighbour, she has to go to Christchurch next week on a teacher's course and is not looking forward to it as they are still having very strong aftershocks - 1200 so far and all pretty strong.

Had a cup of tea and a piece of cake when I got back but it was very late nearly 6.00 that is what comes of standing chatting!

Jon went for the fish and chips. I am very good now and don't eat the batter but I do eat the chips.

Watched the voting episode of X Factor glad to say one of the annoying men went, one of Ronan's much to his surprise.
