Managed to get Totty out for a walk and get my washing in the machine before going off to the shop this morning.
We were really busy there as we needed to take all the stock off the rails that was marked with green tickets in order to send it to another shop. They are trying stock rotation but it means a lot of work as it all has to be packed up and while our shop is pretty efficient at doing it the other two shops here in Tauranga are not so not sure how long the system will last. Anyway Sharon, Angela and I all had a good giggle while doing it. I manged to find three polo tops for Jon which he is very pleased with.
Jon was already home when I got back so I quickly made lunch and then he was off again and I had to get the washing out before the lady came to do the survey for NZ Statistics.
When she keyed our details into the computer it came up as Jon being the main one to answer the questions. I told her I didn't think he would do it but she is going to give him a call. It is not obligatory but it is difficult to refuse so I will have to persuade him but he hates doing that sort of thing. I spoke to him tonight and he said he will do it if she can go to his office. she was very pleasant and sat chatting to me for ages.
I then shot out to get rid of the recycling that I have been carrying around in the car for two days. The man at the centre was very kind and did all the bottles for me - it is three or four weeks since I did it!!!
I got back and saw Kim, my neighbour, and asked her if she or Brent could let Totty out tomorrow afternoon as we are off to the World Rowing Championships and won't get back till 8.30 or so and I think Totty might be desperate by then. She is happy to do it so I hope Totty behaves herself!! I then got stuck into the pile of ironing, I don't know why I always have so much. At least I had lots of recorded TV to watch while I was doing it.
Jon came home and we took Tot out for a walk. I had left it till late as it was too hot to take her earlier.
Our fish and chips was good tonight. Jon complained that the chips had been cold the last two weeks and we also tried the fish with breadcrumbs rather than batter and it was better.
WEATHER
