Sunday and it's cold

There was a real nip in the air this morning and the wind was very cold. It didn't stop Totty from going into the water (only the shallow part) when we took her to the park this morning. She had got the scent of something and spent a long time sniffing around on the beach.

We decided to go over to the Mount for coffee today but by the time we got there it was raining quite hard. We found a cafe to sit outside but undercover and near a heater and enjoyed a very nice cup of coffee.

After coffee we set off to find a shop that sold wood or coal and ended up a a huge DIY store. We got a bag of coal and some wood. We are going to have to look into a better supply or this is going to cost a lot of money.

It rained for the rest of the afternoon but by the time the fire was lit and we were sitting having a nice bowl of soup for lunch it didn't matter.

I had picked out a recipe for pork fillet cooked with chilli and coconut which I wanted to cook. I thought it was very good but Jon said it was too hot and I need to lighten up on the chilli next time.
