You just would not believe that after such a cold wet day we now have a beautiful hot sunny day.
We went out towards the falls stopping off at one of our favorite coffee bars and sat admiring the view and enjoying our coffee.
We got up to the falls and I really wished we had brought a picnic with us as the weather was lovely. We walked along glow worm path to the waterfall but didn't spot any glow worms. After a walk along the lake taking pictures of the lovely trees we headed back to the car as I was really hungry just as well we don't live far away.
After lunch we took Totty to Papamoa beach. The tide was in and really high as was the surf and there were quite a few people in the water but it was far too cold for me. Totty had a really good run and enjoyed chasing the seagulls. It must have been quite a storm out at sea on Saturday as there were many birds washed up, a little penguin and a huge puffa fish.
We had some really good lamb steaks for dinner and a nice bottle of rose - not a bad day.
