It was cold this morning and after walking the dog I was looking forward to going to the Red Cross. shop for a warm.
When I got to the shop it was freezing in there and they have the door open all the time so ended up wearing my coat all morning. I helped Lois sort boxes and boxes of jewellery that had been donated and which quite honestly they will never sell it is more fitting for an African country, bright bangles and beaded necklaces and the biggest hoop earrings you could ever imagine and hair bands that went out of fashion years ago. When I say boxes and boxes there must have been more than 40 boxes the whole room was full of the stuff. They would be better selling everything off for a few dollars instead of trying to sell it for so much, but who am I to question?
After the shop I looked forward to doing my shopping in a warm supermarket which I did and then got back to a very cold house for lunch, no sun shine today so a cold house.
I popped into Tauranga to pick up Jon's shoes from the repair shop and then walked the dog before snuggling up on the sofa with a blanket and a book and the fire on.
Fish and chips tonight!
