I needed to go and change and renew our books this morning - we don't want to get into debt in NZ!
I stopped off at one of my favorite coffee bars and sat on the porch with the sun shining in and had a coffee. I started to read a magazine and before I knew it an hour had passed. I copied a couple of recipes from the magazine, one was for fudge which Heather will love. The other is for a passion fruit and coconut pudding mmmm! two of my favorite things.
Had a quick look around the library but it is hard work to find what you want. It is organised in author name so all the crime, romance, thriller etc are all together so it makes it quite difficult. I would love to change it all!!!
I had a good night at Lions last night and felt very flushed during the enrollment and this is obvious by the red face in the photo. I still have no idea what the subs are, I am sure someone will tell me soon.
Janice who gives me a lift and is my sponsor brought me a holiday brochure for Fiji (her husband is the director of a travel agent). It looks really, really beautiful and I think will be a wonderful place to spend our 30th wedding anniversary but that is six months away!
Now this is a bit complicated to write but I need to put it in. Janice picks me up and we drive to a local doctors surgery car park where we meet up with two other ladies who live out in Welcome Bay and we either go in their car or they come with us. This week it was Helen's turn to drive and she is a bit of a chatterbox and so I don't think pays 100% attention to the road. On our way back we have to cross a main road which has traffic lights and a mini roundabout and she took a wrong turn and went across the wrong side. Very fortunately, for us, nothing was coming our way, a huge lorry did blast her on his horn to warn her. When I got out of the car my legs could hardly support me. I hope we don't have to go with her very often!!!
