The forecast was for rain all day today so it was a pleasant surprise to wake to sun.
Heather called this morning and we both had a long chat to her and she is very well and looking forward to her holiday.
I managed to get out into the garden and do some tidying and bag it up and 'squash' it into the bin for today's collection.
Jon and I then went to the garden centre for a coffee and had a look at the plants and bought a horseradish plant which I have never grown before.
We then went along to the tip to take the recycling.
We got back just as it was starting to rain but I managed to get Totty out for a little walk and it was 'very little'. Not sure why she is being like this again.
I got back and before the rain was too heavy I swept all of the front porch and garage as we get lots of leaves blowing down.
Once inside the rain came down really heavy and the sky was very black so I think I did pretty well for a wet day.
I baked a coffee cake before lunch and then made us some soup as it was a miserable day and soup was called for.
Jon went for a haircut late this afternoon and I managed to finish the photo book that I have been working on for the last week.
I was really cold when I got back downstairs - you really notice the cold on non sunny days.
I cooked dinner - pork tenderloin with an apricot glaze and it was yummy with stir fried Brussel sprouts with garlic.
We watched some TV and now I am just waiting for the bed to warm up and I am off for a sleep after a very busy day.
WEATHER
Sunny spells then cloudy and rain 16 degrees
