Monday

Jon was up early this morning to watch the Grand Prix - seems like a long time since the last one.

We had decided to go to the cinema this morning - yeah I know, funny time to go to watch a film! I have to say 10.30 was not from choice but it was the last showing of The Audience, National Theatre Live film.

We arrived and bought our tickets - Jon nearly fell over as they were $25 each, usually it is only $10 (five pounds) but as the film was three hours it was good value.

We bought a coffee and went into the theatre and there was a total of 11 people in there! Well, it is Monday morning!!

We really enjoyed the film and if we are still here in October?????????? they are showing the stage play of War Horse the same way which we would like to see. The West End come to New Zealand!

We got home about 1.30 and had lunch and then I went out to help do the bunching of the daffodils for the Cancer Society with the Lions ladies. They put them in cellophane bags now which looks much nicer. It didn't take long before $45,000 worth of daffodils were bunched and in buckets waiting to be delivered tomorrow and the smell in the room was lovely.

I went home and stopped off at the post office to post a card on my way.

It had just started to rain as I got home and Jon had brought my washing in but it was still a bit wet.

I have a voucher for a photo book which I am trying to do as it will need time to be delivered and not sure how much time we have. I really hate all this waiting, why can't people make up their minds and do what they say they will Grrrrrrr!

I cooked dinner - leftover chicken from last night.

Nothing much else today so off to bed for an early night well sort of.

WEATHER
Cloudy with sunny spells 18 degrees
