Nice to wake to warmer and lighter mornings and sleep through the night without having to wake for the dog now her bottom has stopped itching!!
I got up and ready for the shop and left the house while Jon was in the shower.
Les didn't come into the shop today as she was asked to work an extra shift at the care home so it was just Sharon and I and Noleen was around sorting things ready for the builders to come in over the weekend to put the partitions up.
The shop wasn't very busy and we had a few boxes to put out so we managed to keep busy and not get bored.
I found a lovely brown merino jacket made here in NZ not sure why it has come in as it is new and I can't find a fault with it and can only think it must have been a sample but it is very nice.
I left the shop and went into Tauranga to pick up my watch that I caught on the door and pulled the winder out. It is old but he managed to find the part for it.
I got home and thought I would have time for lunch and then we would need to go to the hospital but Jon had just had a call to say the surgeon had to do an emergency operation so out appointment had been cancelled and we will get another in the post.
Jon did have his hearing test and he is very deaf but the quote for hearing aids was for just over $8,000 - more than four thousand pounds!!!! He is going to do some research and see what he can find but that is silly money. I will just have to keep shouting and repeating myself for a little longer!!
We had lunch and then took Totty out for a walk before I went up to the supermarket which I had planned to do once we came out of the hospital.
We had fish and chips for dinner and I had mine with a salad for a change.
We watched a bit of TV and then I sorted out our things for tomorrow as we would like to get away early in the morning as the forecast is for rain in the afternoon. Fingers crossed it will be late afternoon.
WEATHER
Sunny with a few light showers 17 degrees
