Wednesday

I had a nice lie in this morning. It is so nice that the neighbours van has given up completely so we are not woken every morning at 7.00 by him trying, unsuccessfully, to start it!!

After breakfast Jon went to get his glasses fixed as the screw was loose and then he went for a walk around the Mount.

I tried to take Totty out for a walk but she just would not walk. I always give her a chewy stick when we get back and she now expects it so I think I might try giving it to her before we go out and see if it makes any difference.

I stayed home and baked a cake to take to the book rooms this afternoon and then went to meet Jon for coffee.

We were able to sit outside and the sun was so warm I could have stayed there all day.

Jon left to go home and I went to see the embroidery/beading exhibition that my neighbour had invited me to. It was really lovely with some beautiful things on display. My neighbour had a couple of things on display one of which was a beautiful bracelet she had made with beads and was just amazing. There were also lots of the Christmas tree decorations that she makes.

I went to the post office on my way home and the supermarket.

We had lunch and then I went to the book rooms to sort more books and magazines. I would love to count the magazines and see how much it would all come to - or maybe not I might then think about how much I spend on them. I did pick up a nice Jamie Oliver magazine and brought it home to read!

I got home and we had a cup of tea and I had a read of my magazine.

I cooked a nice chicken and tomato curry tonight which had coconut milk in and it was very yummy and so far Bertie seems to have enjoyed it.

Well bedtime now and I have my blanket on low so it just takes the chill off!!
