We both enjoyed a lie in this morning which was nice.
After breakfast we took Totty out for a walk and she walked all the way down the road and back. Typical, I buy some dog behavioural classes to find out why she won't walk and since then she has walked every day!!!
We went out for coffee down to the Mount. It was really busy down there and it took us a while to get parked and when we did it was right in the centre and we had wanted to be down at the beach!! Never mind. The town was really busy as there were two cruise ships in with over 6,000 passengers, such a lot of people.
We walked along to see the cruise ships and then walked to Mount Main Beach and they had the last day of a three day competition for under 14s surf champions. They had to paddle on their boards out to a market and then back in again. Some of the little girls were really little and some of the waves they had to get over were very big. I thought they were very courageous to do it.
We then walked back along Pilot Bay to the car and went home for lunch. Jon had bought a Cornish Pastie at the farmers market for his lunch, they are the best we have ever had here in NZ.
I spent the afternoon doing a few jobs around the house and sorting out some photos to put on FB.
I made fresh tuna for dinner and it was really good followed by a red kumara (sweet potato) fritatta which was also very good.
I called a few people in the UK tonight but only managed to speak to my elderly neighbour in Newmarket and my sister. I must try to do better as I still have about $18 to use on my card before the end of the month!!!
It is now 12.30 and I should have been in bed a long time ago!
