A lot of rain

We had a lot of gentle rain overnight which was good as everything was so dry and yellow so it was needed. However, I just wish it hadn't gone on for most of the day and tonight it is very heavy and windy.

I called Jane this morning and we had a long chat and she seems pretty much sorted for the wedding now and doesn't appear stressed which is good and I hope it stays like that for them.

The rest of the morning was spent doing my housework and I had to wash all the floors.

I went out for my Pilate's class for 1.30 but when I got there she told me it was 12.30 today!!! The class has been changed so many times I am not surprised I got it mixed up. I had put 1.30 down on my calendar after class last week though so not sure if it was changed again. She did offer to do a one to one class with me but I said I would come to the class tomorrow - Tuesday. Looks like another busy Tuesday for me!

I got home and had some lunch and tried to sort out the Apple TV we bought yesterday. I wanted it so that I could show what was on my iPad on the TV e.g. my aerobics classes on a big screen. I knew it could be done but Jon was saying he didn't know how and didn't think it could so I could see no point in buying it just to hear his music or buy/rent films. My nephew came to my rescue by showing me what to look for and with some help from Google Jon and I managed to get it sorted this evening. No excuses now not to keep fit!!

After lunch I did some ironing and then took Tot to the vet to have an anti inflammatory injection for her knees as she has arthritis and licks them till she has sores on them.

There was a cat in a basket at the vets and it was very funny as it was hissing and howling at her and she was barking at the cat. I was glad when it was the cats turn to go in. $130 later I left the vet to go home!!! I commented to the vet that Totty's notes are longer than mine at the doctors!!! But at least it had stopped raining when I went out.

I finished off my ironing and was just giving the dog her dinner when Jon came home. He spoke to Lorraine, cancer nurse, today and explained that we are going away on his 'off' week and what should he do about the blood test. He also asked if he could delay the start of the next course in case he has a reaction like the last one. She spoke to the consultant and they agreed he can have the blood test on the Monday after we come back and start the tablets again on the Tuesday which is much better. They also cut his dose down to four in the morning and evening to see if it helps the tiredness and the diarrhoea.

We had dinner and then watched TV. The forecast is for better weather tomorrow and I hope it is, as it is now torrential rain. I am supposed to meet Ros to walk around the Mount at 9.00 as keep fit is not on this week??? Watch this space.

Off to bed now but we might be in for a very noisy night as the rain is hammering on the roof.

WEATHER
Overnight rain turning to showers this afternoon and HEAVY rain tonight 24 degrees - humid.
