Just like holiday!

Another lovely day this morning with clear skies and sunshine. Two ships already in port when I opened the blinds this morning.

I gave Jon a treat this morning and cooked him bacon and eggs for breakfast.

We took Totty for a walk and she walked all the way to the bottom of the street and back!!! We found the path that leads down to the water but so much sea lettuce it was not worth going along the beach.

We met one of our neighbours on the way back, TJ and wife, Helga, born in Austria. We had a bit of a chat, very nice man but unfortunately, Bertie made his presence known with the biggest explosion of wind you could imagine! What can you say? You can hardly go into detail with someone you have only just met. Hopefully, one day it will come up in conversation and we can explain. Meanwhile, he probably thinks Jon is very rude!!!

I cleaned some of the windows this morning. We have a house inspection on Thursday so I need to get ship shape. I don't think there will be any problem as the house is cleaner than when we took it on.

We finally managed to get out of the house and go for a coffee, Bertie is being very difficult today. We went down to Tay street and had a coffee and then went across to the beach. It was lovely down there today, not too busy but enough to watch. Jon sat under the shade and read his book as he is still not allowed in the sun. He had to go and 'sort Bertie out' once so not too bad.

As we were leaving we saw Sharon and Des and had a chat.

We went to buy some wine on the way home and then had lunch when we got back.

Jon spent the afternoon watching the cricket and I sat on the deck. I can't remember the last time I was so brown.

We had lamb cooked on the bbq for dinner and still we continued to watch the cricket, just as well I enjoy it. I had poached some peaches in sparkling wine and spices for pudding and they were very good.

Once the cricket had finished we both read our books. I heard Totty barking and went down the garden and found her with a hedgehog in her mouth. I was so cross with her but she soon let it go when I shouted at her and made her come indoors. I went back to find the hedgehog but it had gone.

I was making our bedtime drinks tonight and Jon has Ovaltine and I have de caf coffee. I was moving the cups along the work bench and as I did I tipped the Ovaltine upside down and got my feet covered in it!!! How stupid of me as it is very expensive and I then had to clean it up!!

WEATHER
Sunny and warm 26 degrees
