We had a notice in the postbox last week saying the electricity needed to be turned off today for maintenance from 9.00 - 3.00. but if it was delayed for any reason it would happen on Thursday instead. I was all prepared and did my washing the night before so I could hang it out and I had the PC all unplugged but nothing happened and I waited all morning. Jon phoned to say a load of wood would be delivered by some of the men from Genera so I had to leave the garage door open as that is electric, too. The wood arrived and it was too wet and too much to put in the garage so 'five' men unloaded it and stored it up by the fence. It is in huge great logs and how Jon is ever going to split them I just don't know. We now have enough wood to last us about three years. By 12.00 I decided they electricity was not going to go off and it looks like I might have to go through it all again on Thursday.
I met Jon at the driving range and we hit 50 balls each and then went to a little bar and had a sandwich. It was a lovely day today and we were able to sit outside.
By the time I got back it was time to take Totty for her walk.
I had a lovely chat to Sonia in England this morning, she was very surprised to hear from me and it was lovely to talk to her. I am really glad we have this special deal with Skype.
