It is golf again today!!!!

It was raining when we got up and so Jon called Andy to ask about our lesson, he told us to meet him at the driving range which is partly undercover.

I really don't look forward to the golf lesson and I can't seem to do much right. However, by the end of this lesson I was hitting more than I was missing but they don't go very far but it was better. Jon is doing well and really enjoys it.

We went for a coffee and then back home and as it had stopped raining we were able to take Totty out for a walk

I had the Lions Tail Twister Fundraiser to go to for 5.30 and Janice and her husband were going to pick me up so Jon took Totty out for her afternoon walk.

The event was held at the Citizens Club which is a bit like a huge working man's club. Our meal was roast pork or roast beef with potatoes and veg followed by Pavlova and tinned fruit and cream. I think I will just say they go for quantity not quality but it did only cost $10.50 (£4.00) so you can't complain.

At the start of the evening I had to come out first dressed in my costume and followed by the other ladies who were all supposed to dance but I was the only one that did - I was glad my wig covered my face! The costumes were from past national conventions and the audience had to guess from which year. After that I got changed and took on my role as time keeper for the rest of the evening. I thought the 'Tails' were rather boring but the audience laughed so maybe it was just me. The whole evening ended at 8.15 and I was home by 8.30 for a well deserved glass of wine and some cheese and biscuits with Jon as he was only just finishing his dinner!
