The weather was really wild again last night and we had a lot of rain. I was woken by the phone ringing which was Andy to say the golf course was flooded and so our lesson was cancelled. If it dries up we can go along to the driving range and hit some balls but it is looking doubtful.
After a lovely video call to Kirsty and James we went out for a coffee but it was still raining.
I don't really know where the day went, a bit of pottering, a bit of housework, read a bit and then made roast chicken dinner followed by apple crumble (I wish you could get Bramley apples here, we have to use Granny Smith) and lovely NZ custard.
Jon lit the fire but with the cooker on it became so hot we had to open all the windows! The forecast is for fine weather and 19 degrees tomorrow. They are doing work on the electricity system tomorrow and so we will have none from 9.00 to 3.00 what a pain!
Well it is still raining so I am now off to bed and look forward to a better day tomorrow.
