Wednesday

The official temperatures are not high for the time of year but it certainly seems to be hotter than they say.

I did manage to get up early this morning and get Totty down to the vet for 7.45. He was running late again so I didn't get in till gone 8.00.

He had to shave some hair from Totty's neck as he said it would be easier to take the blood from the jugular!!!!. I had to hold her very still with her head raised which was uncomfortable for her and apart from one little move when he said 'no, no keep her still' all went well thank goodness. We now just have to wait for the results. I didn't get home until 8.45!

I made Jon his breakfast as he was just getting in the shower when I got back. Bertie has finally started to work properly and there has been no stopping him!!!

I made some chocolate cherry brownies today to take to the ladies at the book rooms. That is a few more ingredients used up from my cupboard.

We had lunch and then I left to go to Bethlehem and worked for a couple of hours but it was very hot in there.

I went to the supermarket to get some Panadol for Jon as we are running out as he is now taking it as he should every four hours and I can see a big difference in him - he is actually talking to me today! He still can't move well and I really think we should cancel our tickets to the Mission Estate Winnery concert but we will make our minds up on Saturday. It is such a long drive there.

Jon had managed to do some work from home and answered his emails and made a few phone calls so at least they can see he is working and he will get paid.

I cooked the dinner and Jon managed to sit at the table to eat it but had to go back to the settee for pudding so a big improvement.

We watched some TV after I had done the dishes.

I got a parcel yesterday from Uluru Camel Tours that we had visited in Ayre's Rock. One of the staff had promised me a pot of Bush Dukah as they had sold out when I was there. I thought they had forgotten all about it as it was back in June last year but it arrived in the post yesterday. I was very pleased about it. They were such lovely people and we had such a wonderful time that day. It cost them a lot of money to post it, too!

Early night tonight as I am tired. We have a bank holiday tomorrow but Jon has said he might like to go out for a coffee so we will see.

WEATHER
Sunny with some cloud 24 degrees
