Friday

I was up early this morning to get ready for work, a bit cloudy but the forecast is better for later in the day.

Jon left for work and I left shortly after him and got to the shop early as I knew Sharon was on holiday and not sure if Les would be in - she wasn't. Rose was in as manager today and although very nice she does get in a tizzy about things so I was not particularly looking forward to the morning. As it happens it was not too bad. We weren't busy but the morning went over quite fast. It was Jessica's last day today as she starts her childcare course at the polytechnic college on Monday. Not sure how she is going to cope with that. I imagine she must have been interviewed so they know what she is like. I just hope she isn't disappointed.

I left and came home and had lunch but was a bit later than usual so that Rose could have some lunch as she only had Fiona on this afternoon.

I left home to go and meet Jon at the hospital and when we went in the lady looked at his card and then at the computer and said 'this is for the 14 March'!!! We had both looked at the card and saw 14th and as that is two weeks after surgery, which is when he is usually seen, we both thought it was today!!!

We came home as he was fully booked and could not fit us in. I rang his secretary but she was on leave but I left a message to ask if we can have something to say Jon was in hospital and not able to travel so that we can try and get our money back for the concert. I will have to call again on Monday to see if they have sorted it.

Jon has had meetings all day and was very tired when he came home. He needs to go up to Auckland next week but not sure if it is for one day or two yet.

We had a cup of tea and I got my nose stuck into my book again until Jon went out for fish and chips!

We are still no further forward as to our flights home. The travel agent is still waiting for Air NZ to come back to them to see if we can go on the BA flight from Vancouver if not we have said we will go through San Francisco but not sure what day that will be. Such a muddle trying to get flights back!

We watched Coronation Street which is now on once a week for two hours which is a bit of a marathon. We record it and then watch it or it takes too long with all the commercial breaks.

WEATHER
Cloudy and sunny 23 degrees
