Sunday

It was very cold when we woke this morning and very overcast in Auckland.

We checked out of the hotel and went to the airport to have breakfast which was very good.

The drive home was fine but we did hit some heavy showers.

We stopped at the supermarket on the way and it was hard getting back into the 'what shall we have for dinner' thing again. We decided on roast port and bought some other things we needed.

It was nice to get back to the house but it did feel cold and empty with no Totty yet.

We unpacked and sorted everything out and put the cases away. It seems to take less time every time we come back!

Jon went next-door to get the post and we opened all our cards which was lovely.

We went to pick Totty up and she was fine and happy to be home but she is really grey on top of her head now.

We had a cup of tea and sat and watched some TV.

We had dinner and while I had been cooking I needed some foil and when I looked in the drawer for it there was a lot of mouse droppings and I know they are new as I cleaned all the drawers before we left. I also found lots in the cupboard under the sink and there is nothing in there to eat either. I am so glad all my food is in the big larder cupboard on the other side of the kitchen and fingers crossed the little blighter hasn't managed to get in there - yet!! Looks like I am going to have to get the trap out again.

We watched some TV and then Jane called and we had a chat to her all about her honeymoon and then Kirsty called and we had a long chat and she was telling us all about their house and we are so pleased for them and it sounds lovely.

WEATHER
Cold and showers 11 degrees
