Back to keep fit!!

We woke to very grey skies and heavy rain and it was like that all day pretty much. It was 17 degrees but without sun it felt so much colder.

I got ready and went to my keep fit class and I can really feel it now as I ache so much. It shows that when you stop for a few weeks it is noticeable. It was nice to have a coffee and a chat with the ladies after class and they enjoyed looking at the wedding photos that I have on my iPad.

My friend Ros is off to the UK on Friday for a couple of weeks and will be back at the same time as me. Her son got married at Auckland zoo and I haven't seen the photos yet so we will have a catch up when she is back.

I went to the supermarket to get a few bits and then to collect my photos of the wedding and the elephant day to put them in an album.

I also went to buy another pair of jeans as I left mine in the UK thinking I wouldn't need them and of course I will for Sydney and Adelaide. I found a really nice pair in soft denim that fit really well and don't need shortening!! I also found a nice merino cardigan.

After a trip to the post office to send some birthday cards I finally got home at 12.30. Jon had been out for a coffee but nothing else as it was too wet.

Swimming will be off this afternoon!

I made lunch and did a few chores and then spent the afternoon catching up with Neighbours and doing my ironing. Unfortunately, I was so far behind I still have 18 episodes to watch before Thursday when we go away!!

I made a shepherds pie for dinner which Jon enjoyed but I didn't.

I rang my sister after dinner to see how she is and also to see how my elderly uncle is. My sister is doing well but I don't think she should be driving to the hospital to see my uncle as it is such a long way for her. Unfortunately, there is only her and his niece that can go and visit so I can understand why she is doing it, just a shame it has all happened at the same time. Things don't sound good for him and he had a clot in his foot during surgery and will need his toes or his whole foot to be amputated and he really won't like that.

Well that is me done for the day I am off to bed and hopefully the thunder forecast for tonight won't happen!!
