Friday

Up and ready to go to Red Cross this morning and it wasn't as cold today thank goodness.

I arrived at the shop and as the doors are not working on automatic properly we had to keep them open all morning - no money to get them fixed!! The shop is looking a bit of a disaster really and hasn't looked good all winter due to a lack of stock. It was a big mistake to stop buying so much from Australia as all the local donations are rubbish and our good reputation seems to be going down the drain but we are only volunteers so what do we know!!!

It was good to catch up with all the ladies again and as we were so quiet we had a good catch up!

I left at 1.00 to go to the Mount to meet with Carol for lunch and it was lovely to be able to sit out in the sun just across the road from the beach. We both had eggs Benedict mine with ham and Carol's with smoked salmon, really good.

Les joined us later and we all had a good natter, I will miss these ladies so much.

I left and went to have some photos printed to make up an album of the wedding. I should have got my last lot printed at this place as it is so much cheaper than where I went.

I got home and Jon had vacuumed and dusted all of downstairs and it all looked lovely. He had also been out for lunch and the oven we had put on Trademe had been sold and the man had called to collect it.

Jon went out for his dinner, fish and chips, as I had a big lunch I just had some Ryvita and cheese.

We watched some TV and I sorted out the photos album that the ladies at swimming class want me to take over next week.

The bottle of gas we put on on Monday night finished tonight so that is a bottle every four days, a very expensive way of heating the house but we can't freeze! The forecast is for warmer weather next week and as long as the sun shines that will make it better. It is the cloudy days, which are few and far between, that are the coldest. I do miss central heating!!

WEATHER
Sunny with some cloud 15 degrees
