Sunday

Just as I was about to log off last night I checked Facebook and saw a post that Kirsty had put on saying James had been taken to hospital in an ambulance!! I was in a real panic as I could not get hold of her and didn't know what was wrong. I assumed it couldn't have been really bad as she would not have put it on FB. I waited up for a long time till she put an update on so I am really tired tonight.

He had chest pains and 111 insisted they send an ambulance and took him to hospital. It appears, after lots of tests and x-rays, that he has bruising around his heart and lungs and has to rest. We rang them this morning and they filled us in. I told him he needs to look after himself and he is working too hard but he already knows that. Anyway, he has not gone to Germany and will rest up for the rest of the week I hope and then we will see him in Sydney on Saturday. Phew!!

I had a message from my sister telling me that our elderly uncle is in hospital very ill but I haven't had anymore news from her today so I will take that as he is no worse, fingers crossed for him.

We went down to the Mount Main Street today as all the shops were selling off old stock a sort of Garage Sale. We had breakfast sitting in the sun which was very nice and then a stroll around the shops before going home.

We took Totty out for her walk and met a man outside who told me he was moving his daughter and her partner in to the house that has just been renovated next door. I haven't seen a dog yet!!

Jon finally finished booking all the hotels and cars for Australia. Darwin has been very difficult to get a hotel as they are all very expensive and we have had to pay more than we wanted to, just as well it is only two nights!

I have spent a long time uploading photos from the camera and the ones from disc of the elephant day, just need to sort them and then get them onto Facebook and get copies printed for our album. I need to clear the memory cards for Australia.

I forgot how early it goes dark now and left my washing out and had to stumble about to bring it all in.

I cooked a small leg of lamb for dinner which was very nice as it had a pesto stuffing. I had too many persimmons so I cooked some with apple and made a crumble and froze the rest. I love persimmons.

We watched some TV and now I am going to have an early night.

WEATHER
Sunny 18 degrees.
