A lazy day

After a nice walk with Tot I decided we needed to have a quiet day. James was also busy getting his photos up to date and also the film he is putting together of their trip so we had a lazy morning.

We went out to Gate Pa for coffee and then into the Aussie butcher where I bough a huge piece of rump steak to cook on the bbq and a piece of pork which I intend to cook with Guinness.

I then thought they ought to see a Kiwi DIY shop which is very like B & Q and we also needed some WD40. I know how to show my visitors a good time!! And it was then off to another supermarket!

Heather came home for lunch but Jon was in Auckland.

We had a lacy afternoon planning the weekend which is becoming complicated due to the helicopter flight that Heather is buying for James' birthday which means we can't now leave till Saturday and then we have to get Tot into kennels.

I took Kirsty and James down to the office to meet up with Heather to go and watch her play netball and they were then going out for a drink.

I got back and took Tot for a walk.

The pork in Guinness was really good and we all enjoyed it for dinner, well Heather didn't but then I didn't think she would.

WEATHER
Bright and sunny but with one or two showers 20 degrees
