I was feeling very tearful last night don't know why it suddenly started and this morning was a bit difficult, too. I keep telling myself to take one day at a time.
I was up early this morning to get Totty out for her walk(she slept right through the night again so I think she is on the mend) as I was due to go to the Cancer Society Rooms for a fundraiser. Every year the Lions help out with phoning companies to ask them if they would like to buy a bunch of 20 daffodils for $20 for Daffodil Day which is on 26 August this year. So from 9-12 I sat phoning and it was good and I sold about 50 bunches. I am due to do another stint on Wednesday.
The daffodils are now starting to come out in the gardens but apparently they do not grow very well in Tauranga due to a bug in the soil. Those that do grow have to be lifted and dipped after flowering so I suppose they would not grow into nice clumps. They do grow them all over NZ though.
After my stint at phoning I was feeling much better and keeping busy is good. Jon came home for lunch and watched a bit of the Grand Prix - he has to watch it in bits and can't go onto the BBC until he has seen it!
I got all my washing done today and dried outside as it was another lovely day. I Took Totty out early this afternoon as Alison had invited me over for a cup of tea when she came in from school so I went over there at 3.30 and Bronwyn came, too. Alison got me some books from the library (she is the school librarian) about NZ history and things that have happened here. They are only children's book so will be quick and easy to read but it gives me an insight. We had a good old natter and I came back at 5.00 and listened to Radio 2 iPlayer and did my ironing.
