It seemed to rain all night and this morning is the greyest, wettest of mornings. The rain seems so much worse over here as we haven't had a lot of it since we arrived.
The only place Totty has to go out for a wee is at the side of the house through the garage and I stood there telling her to get on with it this morning and the rain was pouring in on me and I got completely soaked and she would not do as she was told. I'll have to take an umbrella with me and try again later.
The forecast is for rain all day so I am not looking forward to picking a new car up and driving it home in such awful weather.
The weather got worse and worse and I had to brave it as the cover on the bbq was about to take off and I had to clamp it down with patio chairs.
Jon came home at lunchtime and told me they had no power at the office but everyone keeps saying "But we need the rain" Yes but not like this!
I have decided to get my car tomorrow. There is no way I want to have my first NZ driving experience in weather like this.
Been doing some training with Totty!!!!!!!!!!! She will get "down" if she is on carpet but on the wood floor or on the concrete in the garage there is no way she will do it so I have no chance next week on coarse, spiky grass. We've a long way to go.
Well it finally stopped raining in time for Jon to go and get the fish and chips.
Totty didn't get a walk today as she wouldn't go out which meant neither did I
