Last night when I was in bed and reading my book it suddenly went very quiet. It was 11.32 and the pump on the neighbours paddling pool was turned off!!!! it was soooooo good to listen to just nothing. I really hope they do it again tonight but it would be better at 10.30.
We took Totty down to Rotary Park and it was really nice down there, no wind, no people and calm water.
When we got back I made a picnic and we went down to Tay Street beach. We parked the car and went to the bar for coffee. Jon was looking at the breakfasts and drooling and I was looking at the very nice bowl of fruit, we may just have to try that one of these days.
We then went over to the beach and spent the day there. It was really nice not too hot and with our comfy chairs to sit on and the sunshade it was perfect. It was really quite busy for that beach and there were more people than there were on Christmas Day. We had our picnic and enjoyed it and then relaxed a bit more!
We left to go home at 4.00 and stopped off to get some cash and a few bit from the supermarket.
After a shower we had a cup of tea and then took Totty out.
When we got back Ross had called to ask if we wanted to go out with them on Lake Tarawera tomorrow. We phoned to say yes we would like to but he then said they may have to change their plans as something had come up but he will call us to let us know in the morning. I don't mind either way boat or beach either will be good.
We had venison for dinner tonight and I didn't dislike it but not sure I really liked it but Jon did.
We watched James Bond and then it was time for bed and I hope the pump will go off soon.
WEATHER
SUN, SUN AND MORE SUN.
