After a good night's sleep we were up and ready to go. Jon went off to work and I managed to get two loads of washing on the line and then be up at the kennels to collect Totty by 8.30. I brought her back and gave her lots of cuddles before going off to do my stint in the Red Cross shop which was busy all morning.
I was home in time to make a chicken salad for Jon and I and then in the afternoon I did got a lot of ironing done.
Peter called to invite us over to a bbq with them tomorrow.
We took Totty out for a walk in the evening and then Jon went out for our usual fish and chips - well it is Friday.
SATURDAY
It was nice to have a bit of a lie in but not too long as we had to get out with Totty and back as Heather said she would give us a call which she did and it was lovely to speak to her and catch up.
We then went into Tauranga and had a coffee before going to the library to change books. We then went to Number One shoes and I bought two pairs of doggy walking shoes, same style, as they were so comfortable. Hopefully when one pair wears out I can just slip into the next pair.
After that we went to do a supermarket shop before going home for lunch.
I did some ironing in the afternoon and then we went across to Bronwyn and Peter's for a bbq. Alison and Doug where there and another couple, Shirley and I can't remember her husband's name but they were very nice. Their daughter is pregnant with her 11th child and the oldest is only 18! her husband is a school principle down in the south island and they just love children - very brave lady I say.
It started to rain but was still warm so we moved over to the porch for more chat and drink and had a really good evening. The rain was very welcome and made everything smell fresh and clean.
