A day in Rotorua - Saturday

We managed to get out early and arrived at the Skyline and luge in time for coffee.

We all had a great time on the luge even though I could only find a big helmet and it kept slipping off my head.

From there we went to Rainbow Springs to see the birds and try and spot a Kiwi bird but we didn't manage to see one.

We went into Rotorua centre to the Fat Dog cafe for lunch which was very nice and we saw the local celebrity who pushes a pushchair around with about 11 little dogs in it!

We then had a walk by the lake before going onto the park to see the thermal pools and mud pools.

Then we drove up to Lake Tarawera and found a lovely cafe overlooking the lake and we stopped for a cup of tea. By this time we were very tired and set off back to Tauranga stopping at the supermarket on the way to get some meat for a bbq on Sunday.

Poor Totty had been on her own for a very long time and was ready for her dinner.

We had some nice lamb swirl things in pastry with salad and sat outside as it was very warm.

WEATHER
Lots of cloud but warm sunny spells. Lovely evening, warm enough to eat on the deck.
