Wednesday

There is one big drawback with not having a job - I never know what day it is!

Jon was feeling much better this morning but still not right so I told him to keep up with the Lemsip. totty is now back to her normal self. Heather was not well so I assume she has what Jon has but she went to work but did finish early.

I had another busy day and in a moment of madness decided to make my own puff pastry!! It is a bit of a pain but I found all that rolling and folding quite therapeutic and hopefully, once I make the mince pies, you will be able to tell the difference. I also put the marzipan on my cake.

I even managed to get the primer, undercoat and topcoat on the windowsill today so another little job ticked on my list.

I went out about 12.00 to take some things to the charity shop and I then went to the vet to check when Totty was due for her vaccinations as her record is a bit complicated due to the extra vaccination when she came back to the UK. she is due so I have booked her in for tomorrow.

I then went to Homebase to buy some cable nails for Jon to finish putting the lights up outside.

A quick trip to Tesco to buy some fondant icing for Kirsty's cake as she does not like marzipan so I think we will put the icing on first and then she can put some royal icing on top of that if she wants a snow scene.

I needed to get some keys cut for Rene's house so that I can keep them here should she use her alarm. I was horrified at the price twenty one pounds for three keys. I think I will have to ask her to pay for them.

I then went to the body shop repair people to have my car looked at. He will send a quote but he things it will be just over five hundred pounds. My excess is five hundred so we will probably pay for it ourselves. That's next year's birthday present I think!

When I got home I thought I had better take Totty out before it got dark so off we went and delivered a few cards on our way.

I wrapped up the Christmas table presents so that is a few more done with more glitter around.

Heather came home early and went and had a sleep for an hour or so before dinner. I think she just has a cold as she was able to eat dinner.

I made a nice dinner tonight using up cubes of stale bread which was toasted. You then add some cooked, cut up sausages and then beat eggs, paprika, milk, parsley and cheese and pour it over the top adding more cheese on top. It bakes like a quiche and was very yummy with a salad.

I also baked a lasagne for tomorrow which is just as well as Kirsty and James are now coming over, Kirsty to ice her cake and James to go for a drink with Jon.

Off to bed now after my busy day as I am very tired.

WEATHER
Overcast with some sun 13 degrees
