Heather was off very early this morning for her gym session before work, she is very good to do this three times a week.
I got up and did a few things around the house and then Jon and I headed over to Jane's to help her unpack. We took coffee and doughnuts!
When we arrived Riley was asleep on his play mat and Jane was in the middle of boxes trying to clear her kitchen which we did by the end of the day but still so much to do.
Jon set up the Jumperoo which Jane and Jason bought Riley for Christmas but he needs it now as she is so busy. He really liked it for a while but late this afternoon he had a major meltdown. He hadn't had much sleep and woke sooner than he should when Jon had a coughing fit so he was tired but he won't give in and he is teething as his cheeks are all red. Bonjela didn't work and Calpol didn't work so she tried a bottle and he did eventually take it and calm down but he does hold his breath which is quite alarming, for me anyway! He finally fell asleep with his little hippo cloth over his face which he seems to like.
We had done as much as we could and it was getting late so we left but at least the kitchen is reasonable now. Hopefully she will get her washing machine sorted this evening when Jason comes home and then the tumble dryer and dishwasher are being delivered on Sunday. Sky will be in on Saturday and hopefully Internet next Tuesday so all in all pretty good and it is a lovely house and she is very happy there but will be shattered by the weekend.
We got home to a disaster courtesy of Totty! She had pulled over my vase of flowers which were on the hearth, so water and chewed flowers everywhere. She had pulled off some of the paper I used to cover the box the tree is on AND she had done a poo in the kitchen. I was not happy with her.
After clearing all that up I was ready for the cuppa Jon made for me.
Heather called to say she had seen the consultant about her hand and he is pleased with it but told her it will take time for the pins and needles to go away as he had 'had to move a nerve'. He said if she does not get more strength back she can go for hand therapy. I think now feels happier that he had seen it and said it is fine.
I had cooked lamb shanks in the slow cooker this morning so our dinner was more or less done and only mashed potato and cabbage to cook. Heather went to see her goddaughter after work as it is her birthday on Sunday but she came in later for dinner.
We watched some TV later and I managed to get a load of washing done and dried during the evening.
We have to take Totty to kennels after lunch tomorrow as we are leaving early on Saturday morning. However, the rest of the day, apart from the ironing is for me to get myself ready for the weekend. My nails have taken a real beating this week so need some urgent attention.
I feel bad as I have not been able to get across to see Rene either so I need to do that tomorrow, too. always so much to do!
