It was really cloudy this morning when we got up and after talking to Jane and Heather on the phone for a long time it was raining by the time we had finished and so had to wait for a shower break to take Totty out and then we only managed to get round the block.
We went over to Bayfair to have a coffee (and a piece of carrot cake) and look for some shorts for Jon. Lots of the shorts have pockets in the leg which he doesn't like or they are too long but we finally managed to find some and then went home for lunch.
The weather still wasn't very nice so we stayed in and watched a film before taking Totty out for her afternoon walk. Jon had brought some whisky back from Australia for Bronwyn so I took that over to her on the way out and asked if I could pick more grapefruit on the way back which I did so we will have some for breakfast tomorrow - yummy!
I made sweet and sour chicken stir fry tonight and we had some lovely NZ blue cheese to follow.
I watched the Cider House Rules with Michael Caine but Jon got bored with it half way through but I watched to the end and thought it was good.
