Thursday already - where does the time go?

The day didn't start sunny but it certainly ended that way!

Walking Totty this morning was a bit cloudy but warm.

I went out to meet Helen and Janice to do our 'begging' from the shops in Fraser Cove and was really not looking forward to it but as it turned out it wasn't too bad. We got a voucher from a book shop, a small fish tank filled with goodies from the pet shop and a nice gift set from the hairdresser. Lots of the shops said they would ask head office and so we left them with a letter to get back to us but I don't think they will. We stopped for lunch and had a pie which was OK.

I took Janice home and went in for a cup of tea. She lives on the other side of the little peninsular from me and has lovely views over the estuary towards Tauranga and sitting in her conservatory in the sun was very pleasant. Her husband is a director of a travel agency and she was giving me lots of tips on Fiji and the Cook Islands as we still can't decide where to go in January - all the S Pacific islands look beautiful.

The afternoon has been really warm and I have actually been walking round in a short sleeved T shirt today and no tights, never been known so early in the summer for me. The news said tonight that Tauranga was the hottest place in NZ today at 22 degrees.

Had my dinner early and left everything ready for Jon as he was due home at about 8.15 and I went to my reflexology class. Tonight was the last one as only me and another person could make it next week so it was cancelled. The teacher can't understand why so many of the ladies have dropped out! Maybe he should stick to the subject and and give a better class! Seven of us started and three of us finished. Shame really as I enjoyed what we did.

I arrived home just after Jon and he was very tired but managed to watch the end of the recorded Grand Prix. He has manged to remain ignorant of the result by not going on the internet or watching any news!
