We had a nice chat to Heather and Kirsty this morning and were very pleased to hear that Heather's visa has been granted and she can come over to work for one year. We are very relieved as they have toughened up the rules and I was worried she would not get it so we have that to look forward to. However, I do think we are going to find it hard having a 'daughter' living with us again. We have got so used to only having each other to consider it is going to be 'interesting'!
We were late getting Totty out for her walk but when we got to Rotary Park it was so nice down there, the water was like a mirror, so calm.
We went for coffee down to the Mount and had a look around the shops and I bought a little top for my friends new grandson - all Blacks of course!!! I saw top that could possibly be a match for my jacket but I will need to check colour so may go back tomorrow with the jacket to check.
We needed a few things from the supermarket so popped in there and bought some smoked chicken for lunch to try. We got home and I made sandwiches and cooked the chicken for lunch, it was OK but i wouldn't buy it again.
Jon went to the gym after lunch and I watched TV and read my book. When he got back we took Totty for a walk and then came home and had a cup of tea and a piece of cake, no wonder I am putting weight on, that is winter for you!
I cooked dinner - Thai and it was very good.
WEATHER
Chilly first thing then sunny spells and a warm 16 degrees.
